Job Summary:
Responsible for recording and maintaining Hive Collective’s financial transactions, using a variety of ledgers used to produce key financial reports. This job includes but is not limited to: reconciling American Express, entering data into QuickBooks Online, paying monthly sales tax, and working with Paychex for payroll. Experience with Restaurant Bookkeeping preferred.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for paying all invoices on time.
• Mastering QuickBooks Online and Light Speed, Upserve, and Paychex Flex our computer-based programs.
• Processing employee payroll and tips.
• Recording debits and credits.
• Recording daily and monthly journal entries.
• Staying organized and consistently following through is vital.
• Compiling data on a monthly basis to assist in preparing monthly dashboards.
• Match purchase orders confirming prices and quantity to vendors’ invoices.
• Verify receipt of material or services/confirmation of receipt of material or services.
• Check accuracy of employee reimbursement expenses before processing.
• Enter invoices for payments and ensure correct approvals.
• Coordinate with vendors regarding invoicing and payment inquiries and discrepancies.
• Respond to vendors’ inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Process cheque runs, initiate wire transfers, and arrange online payments for credit card payments.
• Assist with miscellaneous assignments as needed.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• 2+ years in a similar Accounting position.
• Proficient in Quickbooks Online, Apple software, numbers, pages, Microsoft Outlook 365.
• Ability to prioritize workload, multi-task, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Extremely organized and willing/open to learning new skills.
• Can handle pressure and deadlines.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Very professional, presentable, outgoing and can work well with a team.
• Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills necessary to communicate and work effectively with management and co-workers.
